I started my first full-time academic job at the Hong Kong Institute of Education in 2011 and joined the University of Auckland in 2017.

Supervised 6 PhD and 5 MA students to completion, co-authored and published over 10 journal articles with MA/PhD students

行业成就：

Her dedication to foreign language teaching has been recognised by several Teaching Excellence Awards in Hong Kong (2014) and New Zealand (2022 and 2023). Her research on translanguaging, decolonisation, and teacher education has earned prestigious research grants from the Research Grant Council in Hong Kong (2016) and the Royal Society of New Zealand (2019). In 2020, she received the Early Career Research Excellence Award from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Auckland. Danping Wang has also been invited by the New Zealand Ministry of Education to serve on the subject expert group to review the Asian languages curriculum for New Zealand schools.
